Cloudy nearly all day.
I walked over to Tilghman
Mitchell's to see him about
plowing our lot. Called as I
came home at F. Downey's. Afternoon
Willie & Fanny came over
& staid until after supper.
I went to the store etc. Fred
Iddings brought me my
"Evening Star" paper. Clarence
Leadbeater called in
the evening to give us the
latest news ffrom Medford
which is still as sad as can
possibly be; they not having
yet recovered the remains
of the two drowned young men.
Went again to the store after
dark for paper & Envelopes for
H.

Ther. SUN.MAY 7th, 1899. Wind
Cloudy & threatening most
of the day. Edwd & I went to meeting
& heard a sermon from Edwd.
Farqhaur. Afternooon Walter
Iddings came and waited for
sister Harriet who had gone
to "Fairfield" with Sarah Stabler
who brought her here on her
way home and Walter took
her back to "Riverside" leaving
here before supper. After
supper I walked up to the
toll house. Edwd. took tea
at Mrs Robison's. We expected
Willie & Fanny today, but
suppose the threatening weather
prevented them, although it
did not actually rain at any
time today.
