bone mill seemed to be "[?] up" the remains of "Bull
and Buffalo" with perfect indifference, and without apparent
effort we were informed had nearly doubled the
capacity of the establishment. We next visited the
flower garden where we found quantities of the fine
roses for which our hostess is famous, still blooming
& more care evident than with the adjoining
vegetable garden.

The minutes of our last meeting were read, and
then an Essay by C. H. Brooke upon our late Co. Fair
the use of liquor at the same etc. which wound up
with an allusion to the Grange, which seemed to have
been dropped in an unfinished condition, possibly
from lack of language in the author to go deeper
into so important a matter.

1st Ques. Is corn in condition to put away in bulk?

2d Would you dig the potatoes noticed so green
while walking out? Yes 1 No 9.

3d How long do you have to churn? From 20m to 1 1/4 hours
those who use thermometers & warm the cream to 62° taking the
least time - (64° is not too warm in winter)

4th Would you sell pork now or hold till later? Sell now.

5th What shall we do with old fat cows?
If the neighborhood butcher will not buy
at a fair price, kill and sell fore quarters
at home for a low price and send hind
quarters to Wash.

6th What drill shall I buy? Majority favor
Bickford and Huffman though.
