Douglas Farquhar was advised to buy his corn rather than raise it, as the present price did not justify the hiring of exhibit & equipment for planting.

Robt Miller was told that the price for cutting old chestnut wood was from 1.00 to 1.25 per cd.

He asked about buying corn to crush for his cattle, he was advised to use "Jim" - an oat-feed, with corn meal & cotton seed meal.

Albert Stabler said he was going to make a new deal with his hired man and asked what he should pay per mo including, rent, wood mill etc.

The average ans given was about $30 but after learning some of the duties & qualities of said man it was thought that attempt could much better set the price himself.
