We are very sorry to learn the beautiful
box-walk at Norwood has had
an accident, a willow tree in felling
has broken it - but a quick growing
hedge has been planted, so the gap
will be filled soon, we hope.
We were glad to hear of the wonderful
garden Mr. Haviland has one guest
who had visited it, said there was
not a weed to be seen & it was
in a state of perfection.
Anna Farquhar & Mary Stabler were the
readers appointed for the next time.
We adjourned to visit the lawn &
gardens & meet at Riverton in August.
The lawn looked truly beautiful in the
late afternoon shade & shadows & we enjoyed
the quite extensive view into
the adjoining county.
The old fashioned terraced gardens
was full of every flower that you see.
