Summer Meetings and Conference. It will also
hold the same relations to all the Institutions
hitherto held to far as Pacific Grove itself
is answered. The S.P.Co. will supply passes
for all these gatherings in the same measure that
they have been previously supplied.

The P.I.Co. contributing a small measure in
money for these passes instead of carrying their
full cost as heretofore. The S.P.Co. [becomes]
responsible for the cost of advertising Except
in the matter of passes both Companies sustain
the same relation to the C.L.S.C. Assoc as be-
fore. I consider that great gain has been
made in permanency by this arrangement. FOr
years there has been a good natured friction be-
tween the companies over the [c??tenture] of the P.I.
Co. that it was manifestly unreasonable that they
should pay in cash for the travel of those who [came]
to Pacific Grove, Each year to carry on the Smmer
Meetup. Now this charge falls to the natural
parties and I do not think the question will ever
again be raised. The P.I. Co. manifests the
same generous [spai?] towards the P. Grove that has
[marked] it in two part as is evidenced by its gift
during the year of the one half block facing the
city square with one of the [colleges] to the Mu-
zeum Association [it] the instance of Mrs Crocker
Alexander, and by the sale at a low price to the
City of Lovers Point for a Park, with the concession
that the site of the present bath house may be sold to
a Corporation who shall [erect] [?] a modern ba-
thing sructure & accessories.
