The secretary was instructed to cast the ballot
of the Board for Rev. J.W. Bryant as a Director
to fill the vacancy caused by the death of
Dr. M.C. Briggs.

It was noted with pleasure that there is an
increase in the number of Religious,
Educational & Benevolent organizations
which make this the place of their annual
gatherings, & specially the state Teachers Asso-
ciation which came for the first time the
past year, & is [pr?b???ed] to come again this
year. To each & all there we extend our
kind welcome & best wishes.

The thanks of the Board were extended to the
P.I. Co for its prompt & generous sup-
port of all our work in maintaining a
high moral standard.

Rev. A.L. Kellogg presented the following
which was unanimously adopted.

Whereas Dr. H B Heacock & family are
about to leave us for an extended visit
across the Atlantic to be about a year or
more, we wish to assure him of our high
appreciation of his faithful services & continuous
interest in this association Since its organ-
ization until now. And we extend to him
our earnest wish that Divine Providence
may so watch over him and his family &
so guide them on their way that the greatest en-
joyment & profit may be derived from their
trip abroad, & that they may all be restored
to us in safety [at] the time contemplated.
