away from his hard struggling life where he spent himself trying to better the world, up to his Heavenly Home. But in "God doeth all things well" - "I Know that my Redeemer liveth" stayed my soul. I just clung to those words for days and weeks, without a shadow of distrust against God. But in the ordinary acceptation of the term "perfectly resigned" where dear friends will try to reason you into it at once - don't let them do it. Each soul feels its way slowly up into the full beauty of God's promises.

terrupt the quiet natural growth of the soul into full communion with our Savior; He Knows how human we are, with our poor, weak quivering hearts not able to sustain themselves under the sudden blow that nearly shatters our lives. He wept, at the grave of Lazarus; and He wants us to be gentle to our own humanity, and not be harsh with ourselves if we are not at once wholly resigned.
