Blessed Thought! and blessed prospect, that some day the curtain shall once more be drawn that separates you from them and for you then shall be no more straining of eye and ear but rest will come to you in their love and presence. Surely he was a great man and to my dear Mrs Stanford the charm of your life

has been that your husband so identified you with himself. Do you know that is unusual? That will cause your grief to be greater - you will so miss the companionship. Your little circle has been a modest one so wrapped in the bands of love. That a community grieved when it was first broken and now, again would lift up a tribute to this home life which

I have taken up my pen and have laid it down, feeling language after all but a poor medium for expression to me standing where you do.

I think of you as looking through a window - from which the blinds have been drawn for a moment

very sad for you, but the end will come, and your heart has much to fill it, in the work he left you to finish. May the God whom you so well know give you all needed grace for the days left to you.
