You may indeed depend on our poor prayers being earnestly and constantly offered for your intention, as even the youngest sisters in this house have { ?} to
sympathize most tenderly with you in your heart stricken lonely state the more so on account of your wellknown affection and devotedness to your loved and lost ones.
May the God of all consolations be with you and sweeten the bitterness of you { ?} by His holy love

deep debt of gratitude we owe to herself and her deeply { ?} husband we have in commom with all who understand anything of her amiable and loving disposition the tenderest sympathy for her sad bereavement at this time of life and would be too happy to
have it in our power to alleviate her pain and grief in any way whatever.
As we have vacation now, if you think it would be agreeable to Mrs. Stanford we would be much pleased to call on her & visit the Mausoleum at the same time. This will depend on your kindness to let us know her wishes & {the time ?} selected.

Our telegram could not convey to you the depth of our sorrow and sympathy in the irreparable loss you have sustained, yet we felt loath to intrude on the sacredness of your grief by writing any {word ?}
that blessed your entire married life, but Oh! what a consolation in that one simple thought alone, in this age of divorce and matrimonial infidelity.
