My Dear Mrs Stanford
I have been wanting to write and tell you how much I sympathize with you in the passing away of your dear and noble husband and give my heart felt tribute to the best and truest man I ever knew.
I have known him for forty years, he was one of my earliest friends, he was always good and kind to me, as it was his nature to be to all.
He won my respect, my admiration and my love, and to day my heart is with him, and the love born of his noble soul has become immortal.
It is a sacred heritage
