Cape May Point

EXECUTIVE MANSION, WASHINGTON.

Dear Mrs. Stanford

I am in receipt of another
of your kindnesses in the
way of some of your delightful
wine. I cannot express
my thanks to you. [Your?]
gifts to me have been
so great & many - I
know it is all done
out of the fullness of
your great heart & I
hope you will understand

how fully I appreciate
them all - as I have
done the friendship you
have bestowed on me
I am so glad to learn
through Miss McCarty
that Senator Stanfords
health has so improved
I only hope (as I have
said before) that his
health may be fully
restored & that you
may both live to see
your great charities
bring forth great fruits
