rejoice the dark curtain has not lifted high enough to see the clear light of a better day. Still I dare to be hopeful. I care not so much for the case that the money may bring me in sustaining the good works commenced by my husband as I do for the fair name left to it if this suit goes finally in my favor. Grieved and disappointed so much time has elapsed without arranging with Judge Garber. The President and Attorney General impressed upon me the great need on my part to push my attorneys in order to reach the October term in Supreme Court. There must be no more delay no time lost no opportunities must escape notice to advance this suit in the courts this spring in California. The result of a long or short litigation now depends entirely
