Status: Needs Review

The Morning Mine - as Tom Watson's brother is the
manager, you know through the Allis Co, who were
running it in Milwaukee, then up through the
lakes by boat to the Canadian Pacific and thence
to Uncle Henry's in Minnesota. I think that
would be an out-of-sight trip. Tell Uncle Bill
Tom Watson, who knows all about the mines of that
country, says the morning mine is the best any
where around. We arrived home all safely from
Mt. Hamilton on Sunday afternoon awfully tired
and I am just getting over the effects of it. I didn't
stay with Tom any longer, as three of the other [Fer Gees?]
came home Sunday evening, so he had company.
Every morning this week we have been practising
hard for Saturday tournament in Oakland with
Berkeley. [B? ] [symbols] - first singles, Ellis -
[symbols] - second singles, and Watson & I doubles. We
all go up Friday morning and practise in the courts on
Friday P.M. I hope to spend Sunday at the Kips and
Monday school starts again. I am not playing regularly
on the full Team, as Walton the catcher has a sore arm
and is playing first base. I am working hard at my
thesis now and hope to have it well near done by the
end of the week. Give my love to Mother. I hope you
will have a very happy birthday and that you had a
happy Easter.

Your loving brother [Sam?]
