On Thursday & again yesterday [?] Harrison was not among the crowd of boys on the kline looking & yesterday he had Mrs [?] and the little [?] on the [?]. I guess he is [?] himself [?] immensely, as he walks around the grounds and no one pays any attention to him. He is in Dr Jordans old house now - Escandita Cottage which is an awful pretty place near the stock farm. Last night I went to Mrs Brawley's at [?] and had a very [?] evening playing cards. It has been a glorious week & this summer I am sitting by a wide [?] window & the [?] is as bright & the birds are singing & it is glorious. Dont wish you were west. San Francisco is the worst place, was [?] Mr [?] is a little visionary I think and his enjoyed it here becaue he had a responsible position. Give my best love to Mother your loving brother [?]. |
