So they're waiting for you! Mrs. MacDonald, that lady in Dalwhinnie said "those Murrays really take care of their people. They're a good people." :) I got some stuff at Blair that I'm sending w/ some pictures - I'll get it off tomorrow hopefully. They said to write (Gammy should) w/what info. we have on the relatives and they'll look up all the ycan in their chronicles on the Murrays etc. It has 32 rooms opened to the public. I didn't get enough time there, but am glad I got to see it. We drove back through Perth to Edinburgh and caught our bus back and got in this morning to London. I think I may stay in London all next weekend. I'm checking into a job as an intern type person at Parliment for summer this week - supposedly they're not hard to get - but pay is very minimal. If any news from Mrs. Bogner please call - thanks. We went to tea at Harrods last week - it's incredible. The store is incredible. We went to the Nat'l Gallery & Nat'l Portrait Gallery for art class. Murray, I had dinner at Cafe Pacifico - it was great. Mom, I've searched for Tatiana and even Harrods doesn't have it - the lady there said they don't get it over here. Could you send me some? - right away if it's to get here before I leave I guess. Also some Dry Idea deodorant in the green bottle thing. Thanks. Take care - I miss you! Love Chrissie :)

Dear Mom & Dad,

Happy Valentines Day today Heres my flight info that I'd like to have changed - I think travel space in SF can do it, or Capitol - if not let me know & I'll try to call Frankfurt.

Dad - here's the check for the [?]. As of now I have approx (you never know w/ my bookkeping) $142.52 in my checking. I got a surprise paycheck from the Daily so I should be OK for a while w/ this - I'll let you know when I need more transferred. I have 3 weekends of traveling left this qtr. (Florence next weekend, Budapest the next & I'm not sure what the next - maybe Switz.). I wrote you from Kutzbühel - it was great. Munich was sort of a let down after being in a little Austrian ski village - very big & freezing. We went to a few museums, to the Hofbräuhaus etc, to Dachau - the big concentration camp used by Hitler. It was really incredible. I never knew what those people went through! This one was used from 33-45! The pictures of the people (look like skeletons) who did hand labor from dawn to dusk, slept in barracks w/ [?] other men, the gas chamber, place where they hung people and big ovens of the crematorium. It must have been about 0°F when we were there which added to make it seem worse. Sunday there

was a big Fasching carnival in the center of town. Everyone had costumes and masks on and the streets were packed and bands played etc. It was fun - but I think I may have eaten something bad the day before. I felt sick and pretty miserable. Oh well. We then caught our train home and here I am the next morning I have a take-home test due in a few hrs. so I'd better got to work. Hope alls well miss you

Love,

Chrissie

March 4

Dear Mom & Dad,

Hi! I'm sitting here at midnight waiting for my train to Munich to leave - hope I get some sleep and am not woken up a million times at the border for ticket, passport, etc! I just got dropped off by Mr Knaur. I had dinner with he and Sandi (his wife) tonight. They're the Broadway related people and are so nice - I had a really fun evening with them - she's American and he's Austrian. I talked to them about summer jobs and she said she would maybe get me a job in the co. she works for but my German probably isn't good enough because no english is spoken. They suggested an Oper (nanny type) job. I was against at at 1st because I'd rather get something more career related etc but they have friends who might want me for only 1 or 1 1/2 months in their 'country-castle' to take care of their kids and teach them tennis (on their own courts) and pool too, and speak only German so I could really improve. They have another girl who clean and cooks so I'd be out with the kids. She's going to call them and let me know next week if they're interested. I'm applying at the UN but the more people I talk to the more discouraged I get about the possibilities of that working out. I can't believe I only have 1 1/2 weeks left in Vienna though so I'll do what I can in person in that time and after that by mail. Maybe I'll fall in love w/London and want to work there though - who knows! Bud I'd like to get something firm soon. I'll let you know what happens.

It didn't work out to meet Dave this weekend. I couldn't get ahold of him for days at Clivedon and he called a couple days ago and I wasn't there, but said he wasn't going anymore. So I'm off
