then I'd work the Spring quarter. By that time I'd have 90 units, and I'd be up with my class even with missing 1 quarter because I'd be taking a few extra units. What do you think of the idea? Please tell me because I think it's plenty good.

I'm glad you had such a good time at Indian Canyon. That's certainly a good place to go.

I'll send you my laundry tomorrow, Mom. Hope it won't swamp you.

I think I have a steady job hashing now. Anyway I'm working steady for the time being. Sure hope it lasts. Got a letter from Babe a couple of days ago. He seems to be getting alonge fine. Sure fine that he is.

If you see Royal Handy tell him that Helen Nance said "hello" to me for him in case I see him. If you don't see him please call him up & tell him because it would tickle him to death. I imagine he kind of misses Helen - anyway he should if he don't.

I got Alpha Sigma Phi tomorrow for inner. That's Bob's fraternity you know. And I go to Theta Delta Chi Wednesday night, so I'll be rather busy this week. I'll drop you a postcard about Wed. so that you'll know I'm still here.

I see Sig Nielson, Bob Button, and Bob Hume nearly every day. Met Bob Button at a Campus Jolly - up the other night. He's losing that ultra-sophisticated air now and is becoming a real fellow. Well, must study. Say hello to Leo & everyone. Love, Lex

today. Had a marvelous time. Pat & Ron enjoyed it too. We met so many nice fellows. Dick is talking A.T.[Greek letter] pretty strong to me and I sure like the fellows. Wish I could make up my mind what to do.

Dick went to L.A. Friday afternoon and came back early this morning. His folks don't even know he was down there, I guess he was with Helen Nance for 2 days straight. He sure is crazy about her. He's coming up to Spokane this summer. And do you know what? Dick and I are thinking very seriously of going to Washington University for perhaps 1 quarter next year. We've been talking it over and we think it would be very interesting and advantageous to go there for a while. I'd probably go here in the Fall, to Wash. in the Winter, and

Dearest folks,

Surely would like to see you all soon, but it will only be 8 weeks now. Have sure been on the go this week and I can see no letup. I'm dated up every noon & night by fraternities from now to next Saturday. Honest to gosh I can't make up my mind whether to go Alpha Tau Omega, Alpha Sigma Phi, Sigma Alpha Epsilon or to go [Cating?] Club and live in a hall. Dick has been so nice to me and is counting so strongly on me joining A. T. O. that I hate to disappoint him. I like his fraternity brothers too. I was out with Alpha Sig the other night and they were a marvellous bunch. Took us ice-skating in the city. It was wonderful. Fred Harvey, son of Dr. Harvey of Spokane, belongs to this house. Dandy fellow. On the way home they offered me a pledge pin, a [hashing?] job, and the proprietorship of the little store in their fraternity house. I put them off for awhile. The A. T. O.'s also have offered me a [hashing?] job in their house. I'm glad you want

me to go to "Raw", as we call it, because I think I will eventually.

The Vocational Dept. at Stanford gave us all vocational tests free a few weeks ago. They usually charge $5. I just got the results of mine, as follows:

Personnel Manager - A

Salesman - B+

School teacher or Administration - B

General Secretary - B

Minister - B

All other occupations were rated C. Of course these aren't definite, and this type of test is more or less in the experimental stages, as yet. I guess they didn't think I'd be such a success as a engineer. Heh, heh, - that's a good joke on them.

I'll get my laundry to you by April 29, that's Tuesday, how's that? Sure is a pile of it.

Gee, it'll sure be swell to have a family reunion next June. I'll be home about June 15.

Too bad about Jane's teeth - that work is guaranteed for 6 years you know. Mine is all O.K. yet. Why don't you talk to Wilson's.

I got a letter from Mrs. [notation: Capron] Richmond of [insert: 425-8th Ave., S.F.] S.F. yesterday you know one of your old friends. She'd be very happy to hear from you. I wasn't at [Gough's] house - I just missed him at U. S. C.

Well good luck in your French Ex, - I know how it is. Love, Tex

Dearest family,

Got the good letter you wrote last Sunday on Wednesday. Sure glad to hear from you. Thanks lots for the concert program. I'll bet it was good. Too bad it's so cold up there yet - the weather here is simply marvelous. Sunshiny all thetime. I'm playing quite a bit of tennis now. I've got a very slight chance of making the team and I'm mI'll probably hear from him in a month or so, and if I get the job, I'm going to practice life-saving with Robb. He's a very good swimmer, you know. He's on the frosh polo team (water polo, I mean). [notation: Also Horse Polo]

That's fine that she has a job. Why couldn't Virginia stay at the place where she was though?

I'll bet Jim is important, passing out those books. Does he know what it's all about? I'm sending his hat in the laundry today. Also the [Chappie?].

I finally met Robt. Hume. He sure is
