at the National, REALLY GOOD.

DAY 42: Up early for tour of the National Theatre, info about all 3 theatres, some stuff backstage...very good and interesting. Off to lunch and the National Portrait Gallery, very interesting but quite tiring - all those people you've never heard of observing the ones you have .. found out my British history isn't very good. Saw The Elephant Man at the National good play and ran into a [Clivedenite?] I know - SURPRISE!

DAY 43: Had to go back to [Cliveden?] to get more money, no choice, it's in the bank. So I brought some groceries, had lunch, did my laundry and finished up the last pages of a book (and got a couple more out of the [Cliveden?] library). Met Jules at 6:00 [and?] trotted off to see the friend from [Tours?] we'll be staying with. He wasn't home so we watched the Olympics on TV with a house mate then a decent sitcom then went to MacDonalds for dinner (nearby and easy). Gave our host a heart attack when we finally saw him, and then talked about the past 6 weeks until 1:30 in the morning (he had to go to work Friday too .. EF [Hutten?], London).

DAY 44: (Friday, July 25): Up about nine and Jules did her laundry. Then we met our host for lunch. Then off to see St. Pauls (finally got to see it this [time?] on my fourth try) and tonight two shows Accidental Death of an Alchemist - the reason our host was late, supposedly very good, and Tom Foolery - reviews when I write again (for you, the next sentence however). Both were quite good - the farmer played a lot off the audience, but there wasn't much of one so it wasn't as
