6:30 Pull out 1988 receipts & charity stuff from desk. Make room in box (under table in corner), for another year. Put 1984 IRS booklet & return. Go through charity/political stuff. Separate.

7:30 Make index cards of major charities from last year, so I can track mail easier.

9:00 Finish index cards. Put charity away in box.

9:00 Go see boat. Frozen in 1 1/4" of ice. Other boats as well.

9:15 To gym because if I don't go now, gotta wait till 1 hr after lunch. I prefer Sat morning workout over afternoon.

11:15 Coffee at Starbucks & muffin. Infoworld. Finish Infoworld at Library. Copy some.

1:00 Go back to car to feed meter. Go to Cafe Casino. Read Pournelle, about Mathematica: Check Egghead. $428. Go home, put stuff away.

2:30 Do I want to go out tonite. There's no place I want to go in Seattle. Or Portland, or Vancouver & I want to get back into "non-money" mode soon, since I can't talk about it with friends.

3:15 Go over political news mail & request. Pay RNC. Read others carefully, but toss out. Make index cards for some fundraisers. Go through charity mail, of ones I support and then go thru the rest. Donate to M. Club monthly.

Dinner & read Fred Hutchinson Cancer Rpt. Very professional & informative. Finish rest of that mail from charities that piled up since Jan 1. Make a few more index cards. Done!

2:00 Out to Myrtle Edwards to finish 87/88 Investing. And look over Diary. Decide to dig in continuing to write Aug 24.

4:00 Walk in the park. Cold. Snow on grd.

5:45 Feeling bad because of lack of fun lately. Remember I shouldn't work on this review to much each day. Given that today is Sunday, and my first day back on it, be easy.

Last night I really wanted to go to Tubs. It's interesting to see what I do now...I'm glad I didn't go to Tubs, as I would've later.

8:45 Start in on "Highlights & Insights" again. Read "Work" notes 7/13-7/15 again. Nothing specific that I want to add. Fix up some types I found yesterday.

12:30 Start cleaning up Aug 20 to yearend. Really focus on Aug 24-Sep 10. Lunch at home. Watch Comp Chron: Viruses. Continue writing Into it now...Dinner at home. Tie up end of quarter. Sense break Sep 30/Oct 1. Quit & make backups.

Home to J/O with Valentines card. MSFT closed at 62. (York had called; I called Ch Sch). Look over articles in Jan AAII again. Article on Muni Bond investing raised some good points that apply to Corp/GNMA fund too.

Request Value Line Corp Annual Report. Realize I should apply tax factors to numbers before charting portfolio comparisons because I'd be in funds which turnover stocks every year so I'd pay taxes regularly.

9:30 Chuck arrives to paint corner. Continue working on Autumn. Primarily the section is "Work & Frienships" and discusses why I went to SF in October. Then I move on to realizing Shurgard. Write up to point wheree I wrote "Adming Equity". Backup.

Lunch clean floor with sponge

When Chuck was here he told me about construction of cieling and how it'd be ok to hang a light fixture. Bright full spectrum could just put it on circuit with other lamps.

8:30 At home. (Extra Hands came.) Cleanup. Put K. Masin back, apres painting wall. Looks good & looks clean. Put away VL & Infoworld.

9:15 What to say calling Ken Gordon. Just "Hello." Student, cook, Eagle, no car, little $$...Nice conversation...He's so busy, as student. Hard for me to think back. May I just don't want to. During time out, I started setting up VL II. Finish talking. Hates SMB & Vicki. No curl bar...Finish installing VL II. I need to reenter criteria!

10:15 Read Market Logic published last Friday. Put its #'s & VL & ind'y prices into sheets. Print out. Look over Mutual Fund Forecaster. York calls. MSFT up to 64.25. With VL Med PE = 12 + MSFT dist 3.40/sh, Rel P/E = 1.57 compare with list of newly printed Rel P/E, as well as price, and recognition earnings growth rate is down, since end of fiscal '88. So sell.
