7.3.2 CHRISTOPHER SHELLEY MOOR (1864-1920) Christopher Shelley Moor was born on 8 February 1863 and married Constance E. M. Pratt. in 1900 at Mosman. They had five children: Esmee L.H Moor who was born in Parramatta in 1901, married Ferdinand Brinnghausen and died on 5 Juanuary 1933; Christopher A.E. Moor who was born in 1902 at Mosman and died in 1908 in Albury; Albury S. Moor who was born in 1904 at Albury and married in 1928 at Warialda, Elsie M. Stevenson; Florence Murray C. Moor who was born in 1905 in Albury and married in 1924 in Blaney, Reginald E.A. Clarke; Maru Constance Acland Moor who was born in 1906 in Albury and married in 1939 in Sydney, Trevor Maitland Thomas; and Ruth Barclay Betty Moor who was born in 1913 in Manly and married in 1935 in Sydney Kenneth H Oliphant.

7.3.3 FLORENCE MAY MOOR (1866-1944) Florence May Moor was born on 11 May 1866 at Wellington and married William H.A. Wildash on 31 December 1901 in Parramatta.

7.3.4. ROSE EMILY MOOR (1868-?) Rose Emily Moor was born on 25 February 1868 in Wellington and did not marry.

7.3.5 ETHEL SUSIE MOOR (1870-1934) Ethel Susie Moor was born on 18 August 1870 and married Arthur Allan Shelley, her cousin, as his first wife in 1915 at Burwood and had no issue.

7.4. WILLIAM SHELLEY (1834-1888) William Shelley was on 21 December 1834 at Grampian Hills and attended Mr Cape's School at Darlinghurst. A report from Mr Cape has survived which shows that in the Lower third class in 1848, William Shelley was "disposed to improve". He was performing "slowly" in Composition, Geometry and Arithmetic, "improving" in Classics and doing less satisfactorily in Histroy, Geography, Scripture and Writing.

He married Emma Jane Bowden of Edithville, Millers Point on 19 September 1860 in Waverly Methodist Church. She died on 21 July 1885 at Raymond Terrace and he died on 19 June 188 at Ash Island, Newcastle. They had three children.

7.4.1 WILLIAM BRADLEY SHELLEY (1861-1934) William Bradely Shelley was born on 24 July 1861 in Berrima and married in 1894 at Raymond Terrace Mary Jane B. Apps. He died on 6 October 1934 in Campsie. They had three children: Frank Wallace Shelley who was born in 1901 in Waratah and married in Cantebury in 1936, Phyllis Marie Betts; Laura Marion Shelley who was born in 1908 in Raymond Terrace and married in 1936 at Canterbury Albert Joseph Stanley Lawry; and William Hunter Shelley who was born in 1909 in Raymond Terrace.

7.4.2 (MARY) ETHEL SHELLEY (1864-1902)

(Mary) Ethel Shelley was born on 25 January 1864 in Wagga Wagga and in 1897 in Newcastle married James Adam. She died on 24 April 1901 in Bombay, India. They had one child, Helen Adam.

7.4.3 THOMAS W. SHELLEY (1866-1870)

Thomas W. Shelley was born on 1866 in Sydney and died in 1870 in Newcastle.

7.4.4 ELLIOT HASSALL SHELLEY (1867-1943)

Elliot Hassall Shelley was born on 28 October 1867 in Newcastle and married in 1905 in Petersham, Margaret Elsie Lobban. He died on 18 December 1943 in Chatswood. They had four children: Alistair Edward Shelley who was born on 28 August 1906 in Cobar and married Doreen Eleanor Macdonald; Margaret Elsie Shelley who was born on 30 January 1908 in Petersham and married Ralph Gordon Mitchell in 1934 at Chatswood; Isabel Nea Shelley who was born on 15 February 1911 and did not marry; and Frank Herbert Shelley who was born on 29 December 1917 in Singleton and did not marry.

7.4.5 SUSAN EMMA SHELLEY (1869-1928)

Susan Emma Shelley was born on 14 October 1869 in Newcastle and married Alister Stuart Bowman of Archerfield, Singleton on 24 October 1889. She died on 10 December 1928 in Singleton and he died in 1943 in Singleton. They had two children: Robert Stuart Bowman who was born in 1890 in Singleton and who married Esme E. Connell in 1929 in Sydney; and Marion S. Bowman who was born in Singleton in 1893 and married Cyril E. Lowther in Singleton in 1919.

7.4.6 EDITH WALLACE SHELLEY (1872-1904)

Edith Wallace Shelley was born on 2 January 1872 in Newcastle and married Frank Hunter Bowman of Archerfield, Singleton in Newcastle in 1892. She died on 13 November 1904 in Singleton and he died in 1944 in Singleton. They had three children: Muriel Hunter Bowman who was born in 1893 in Singleton and who was unmarried; Wallace Hunter Bowman who was born in 1898 in Singleton and who married Sheila M. Brodie in 1928 in Sydney; and Ruth Hunter Bowman who was born in 1900 in Singleton and married Abbott E. C. Stacy in 1928 in Singleton.

7.4.7 LAURA LILLIAN SHELLEY (1873-?)

Laura Lillian Shelley was born on 5 April 1873 in Newcastle and married Dr Edward Ballard Bowker of Maitland on 7 April 1900 in Newcastle. They had four children: Edward Ryther Steer Bowker who was born in 1901 in Waratah and married Marjorie Gwenyth Chiplin in Newcastle in 1936; Lydia Mary Bowker who was born in 1903 in Newcastle and married Leslie Clift Foster in Chatswood in 1940; Laura Joyce Bowker who was born in 1907 in Maitland and married John Kenneth Osborne in Toronto in 1936; and Barbara Bowker who was born in Maitland in 1908 and married Thomas C. Croudace in Toronto in 1933.

7.4.8 HERBERT CAMPBELL SHELLEY (1874-1931)

Herbert Campbell Shelley was born on 25 September 1874 in Newcastle and married Ella Campbell first and secondly (Constance) Cara Blackett. He died on 5 October 1931 in Granville. He had two children by each of his wives: Lillian Ella Shelley who married Ronald William Eric Harnath in Sydney in 1943; and Owen Campbell Shelley who was born on 23 March 1927 at Singleton and married Daphne Constance Williams in Dulwich Hill on 9 June 1951.

Alice Shelley was born in Newcastle in 1876 and died there in 1877.

7.4.10 NOEL L. SHELLEY (b. and d. 1877)

Noel L. Shelley was born and die in Newcastle in 1877.

7.5 JAMES SHELLEY (1837-?)

James Shelley was born on 30 October 1836 and married, in 1860, Mary Jane Mansfield at Balmain. She died on 28 February 1920 in Paddington. They had four children.

7.5.1 NORMAN SHELLEY (1861-1915)

Norman Shelley was born on 9 November 1861 at Balmain and married Lillian B. Pell in 1888 at Woollahra. They had two children: Guy B. Shelley who was born in Sydney in 1889, and Winifred Shelley who married A. Lumsdaine Strange.

7.5.2 HARRY M. SHELLEY (1864-1932)

Harry M. Shelley was born on 5 November 1864 in Wagga Wagga and married Marian Emma Pearson in Ryde in 1889. He died on 25 June 1932 in Hunters Hill. They had three children: D'Arcy Mansfield Shelley who was born in 1890 at Waverley and who married Jane K. Burnell in 1914 at Parramatta; Eric Ralph Shelley who was born in 1892 in Ryde and who married Alma L. Matthews in Sydney in 1919; and Max Robert Shelley who was born in 1895 in Ryde and who married Maude G. Phillips in Sydney in 1922.

7.5.3 (JAMES) ATKINSON SHELLEY (1866-1893)

(James) Atkinson Shelley was born on 1866 in Balmain and remained a bachelor.

7.5.4 ELEANOR N. SHELLEY (1872-1920)

Eleanor Mansfield Shelley was born in 1872 in Mudgee and died on 31 January 1920 and did not marry.

7.6 ROBERT SHELLEY (1838-1842)

Robert Shelley was born on 9 August 1838 in Goulburn and died there on 14 January 1842.

7.7 SUSANNA SHELLEY (1840-?)

Susanna Shelley was born on 8 October 1840 and baptised ten days later in Goulburn. A little glimpse of her childhood is found in a letter in the Hassall Correspondence when, in an unsigned letter to James Hassall, an account of a picnic which nearly ended in tragedy was given. The picnic was held on the banks of a river near some falls. Three of the children including Susanna Shelley went out of sight and soon was heard ''... dreadful screaming and shouting from the party and distinguished the cry they have fallen into the river ... it was little Susan and she and Sarah Howe had both fallen into the water - providentially John Martin ... darted off ... plunged in and brought them both out and little Susie was quite stiff, I suppose with fright and very pale''.

Susanna Shelley did not marry and spent the last years of her life with her sister Elizabeth Mary Oakes and helped disperse the effects of Elizabeth Oakes as she was required to do in her sister's will in 1889.

7.8 JULIUS SHELLEY (1842-1890)

Julius was born on 15 December 1842 in Goulburn and married Emily Mary Betts on 28 January 1868 in All Saints Church, Parramatta. His mother, Susannah Shelley, spent the last years of her life living with him in Bowral. He died on 15 May 1890 in Bowral and she died on 31 July 1917. They had five children.

7.8.1 ARTHUR ALLAN SHELLEY (1868-1944)

Arthur Allan Shelley was born in 1868 in Newcastle and married three times. He married first Emily L. Howell in Drummoyne in 1910 and secondly he married his cousin, Ethel Susie Moor in 1915 at Burwood. She died on 14 April 1934 in Enfield and he marreid Amelia Broughton in Walgett in 1936. His first wife had a son, Allan Keith Shelley who as born in 1912 in Burwood and died in 1929 in Redfern.

7.8.2 HECTOR MARSDEN SHELLEY (1870-1929)

Hector Marsden Shelley was born in 1870 in Newcastle married Annie Bennett in Victoria in 1896 and had no issue.

7.8.3 EMILY SHELLEY (1872-1943)

Emily Shelley was born in Gulgong in 1872 and died unmarried on 5 September 1943 in St. Peters.

7.8.4 ELSIE SHELLEY (1874-?)

Elsie Shelley was born in 1874 in Mudgee and married Harry Barnes in 1893 in Sydney. They had three children: Gladys E. Barnes who was born in 1895 in Bourke and died there in 1896; Harry Roy Barnes who was born in 1897 in Bourke and married Dorothy Gladys Griffiths in Marrickville in 1920; and Dorothy Shelley Barnes who was born in 1893 in Bourke and married Alan J. Boulton in Petersham in 1921.

7.8.5. WALTER SHELLEY (1881-1885)

Walter Shelley was born in 1881 in Canterbury and died in 1885 in Berrima.
