8.2 SUSANNAH SINCLAIR CAMPBELL (1832-1893)

Susannah Sinclair Campbell was born on 17 June 1832 at Cobbitty and died on 14 November 1893 in Ashfield. She did no marry and was living in Sydney in 1891.

8.3 JESSIE HASSALL CAMPBELL (1834-1917)

Jessie Hassall Campbell was born on 28 March 1834 and on 16 August 1851 in Yass married John Macquarie Antill who was born in 1822 of the Antill family of Jarvisfield, Picton where she lived for the rest of her life. John Antill was born in Liverpool, New South Wales and educated at The King's School, Parramatta and when he was 18 he went to manage the Primrose Valley estate at Molonglo, where he concentrated on sheep breeding. When he was 24 he became a Police Magistrate at Picton, a positon he held until his death.

Jarvisfield, which included the village of Picton, was in a valley under the shadow of the Razorback and had been established by Major John Antill. John Antill inherited it in 1858 and in 1864 built a new homestead there for his family. When wheat and sheep proved too difficult, Antill established an Ayrshire stud.

Jessie Antill died there on 7 February 1917 and was buried with her husband on the Jarvisfield estate in the Antil family vault, built on a hill which became known as Vault Hill. Also buried there were her father, Robert Campbell, and her children Celia Antill, John Antill, Robert Antill and the second Celia Antill. John Antill died on 4 June 1900. They had eleven children.

8.3.1 MARGARET CAMPBELL ANTILL (1852-1906)

Margaret Campbell Antill was born on 4 July 1852 at Picton and married Nugent Wade brown of Ban Ban on 10 October 1872 in Picton. She died on 21 October 1906 in Picton and he died in 1919 in Sydney. They had nine children: Lillian Leila Wade Brown who was born in 1875 in Goulburn and did not marry; Margaret Alice Wade Brown who married M.C. Laidley; Elsie Ellan Wade Brown who married Guildford L. Davidson in 1899 in Picton; Mildred Wade Brown who was born on 23 June 1879 and married William Cunningham Geikie (1872-1952) and died on 3 September 1979 at Greenwich; Nugent Wade Brown who was born in 1882 in Picton and did not marry; (Keith) Colyton Wade Brown who was born at Berrima in 1883 and married twice - first someone called Rudd and then someone called Chough; Gladys Campbell Wade Brown who did not marry; Celia Antill Wade Brown who married in 1928 in Sydney (Roland) Keith S. Mycelium; and Christian Jean De Goffered Wade Brown who was born in 1895 in Picton and married twice - first William Watts and second, Fortescue Ash.

8.3.2 CELIA FARMINGTON ANTILL (1855-1860)

Celia Farmington Antill was born on 22 February 1855 at Picton and died on 1 January 1860 aged four years.

Robert Henry Antill was born on 21 May 1859 at Picton and died there unmarried on 13 July 1938.

8.3.5 CELIA FARMINTON ANTILL (1861-1928)

Celia Farmington Antill was born on 13 October 1861 at Picton and died there unmarried on 10 January 1928.

8.3.6 SELINA JOHNSTON ANTILL (1863-1920)

Selina Johnston Antill was born on 9 October 1963 in Picton and died there unmarried 16 February 1920.

8.3.7 JOHN MACQUARIE ANTILL (1866-1937)

John Macquarie Antill was born on 26 January 1866 at Picton. He married Agnes Marion Wills allen in Sydney on 24 October 1901 in Sydney. He died on 1 March 1937 in Redfern. They had two children: Joan Macquarie Antill who was born in 1902 in Glebe and Ruth Macquarie Antill who married Helms Crutchfield of Victoria in 1940 and they had no children.

8.3.8 EDWARD AUGUSTUS ANTILL (1867-1905)

Edward Augustus Antill was born on 4 December 1867 and married Lillian M. Christian in Sydney on 19 June 1902. He died on 19 March 1905 at Port Nepean. The had one child, John Macquarie Antill who was born on 14 April 1903 in Brisbane and married twice - first to Barbara B. Chapman in Woollahra on 9 December 1935, and second to Marjorie A. Ludowici nee Hulme.

8.3.9 GUY FORREST ANTILL (1869-?)

Guy Forrest Antill was born on 4 November 1869 in Picton and married Ida Wren Bentley in Lismore in 1910. They had two children: Margaret Jessie Macquarie Antill who was born in Mosman in 1918; and Sylvia Selina Macquarie Antill who married Ewan Garrard.

Elizabeth Ann Antill was born on 30 July 1871 in Picton and married Henry Beauchamp Lasseter in Picton on 19 August 1891. She died on 29 March 1927 in Picton and he died on 17 February 1926 in Sydney. They had one child Frederick M. (Eric) Lassetter who was born in 1892 in Woollahra and married Margaret Elizabeth Kilgour.

8.4 ROBERT JAMES CAMPBELL (1836-1877)

Robert James Campbell was born on 12 March 1836 at Wingello and married his cousin Catherine Ann Hassall on 24 August 1864 in Victoria. He managed a property called Woolamana near Geelong in Victoria for Mr Armytage and was going by ship from Geelong to Sydney on the Macedon, when he disappeared on 8 January 1877, though the ship itself was in no difficulties. He was 40 years of age.489 She died on 30 December 1931 at Sandringham. They had seven children:

Robert James Henry Campebll was born in 1865 in Dundas, Victoria and married Mary Hardie. He died in 1943 without issue.

Albert George Campbell was born in 1870 at Duckponds and died at Woolamana in 1876.

8.4.4 KATE CONSTANCE CAMPBELL (1872-?)

Kate Constance Campbell was born on 18 March 1872 at Duckponds. She married Elias Hine in 1896 in Victoria. They had seven children: John Ralph Hine who was born in 1898 at Bairnsdale and married twice - first in 1922 to Esther Everitt, and second in 1929 to Eveline Drayton; Robert Stewart Hine who was born in 1900 at Bairnsdale and married Henrietta Grace Scott; Arthur Colin Hine who was born in 1902 in Bairnsdale and married Gladys Johnston; Elias Hine who married Olive Stone; Mary Elizabeth Hassall Hine who was born in 1908 in Bairnsdale and who married Ernest E. Morecroft; Kate Evelyn Hine who was born in 1911 in Bairnsdale and who married James G. Greeves; and James Mortimer Hine who was born in 1916 in Bairnsdale and married Ada Mary Joyce Sandman.

.8.5 Mary Campbell Campbell (1838-1927)

Mary Campbell was born on 22 March 1838 at Cobbitty and married Edward Spencer Antill, who was born in 1832, on 24 January 1857 at Yass. They first settled on land at Molonglo, living there until 1862 when they went to Queensland. They then lived at Wangaratta in the Burdekin district and Edward ANtill was a member of an exploratory party which crossed from Bowen to the Gulf of Carpentaria, and in 1864 they took up land on Connor's River in the Isaacs River district whey they remained until 1868. Although stock was readily raised markets were difficult, and from time to time the wild blacks proved troublesome. Returning to New South Wales Antill became manager of Kenmore Station near Goulburn until 1875 and then his family moved to the Nyngan district towards Warren - a journey overland which took the faily three weeks to accomplish. They remained there with an interlude of a brief trip to England in 1893-4 until Edward Antill's death on 9 February 1917 at Parramatta. Mary Antil died on 14 April 1927. She was buried, like her sister Jessie Hassall Antill, in the Antill family vault at Jarvisfield, with her husband and their son Harley Antill. They had eleven children.

Jessie Macquarie Antill was born in 20 December 1857 in Queanbeyan and marries Walter Sydney Burt on 31 May 1876 in Dubbo. She died on 2 January 1939 in Albury and he died there in 1942. They had seven children: Jessie Mary Antille (Alma) Burt who was born in 1877 in Carcoar and was unmarries; Mildred Dagga Antill Burt who was born in 1878 in Picton and marries Robert A. Robertson in 1912; Hilda Evwlyn Burt who was born in 1880 in Picton and marries Thomas H. Plante in 1911; Enid Campbell Burt who was born in 1880 at Milton and died unmarried; Addison Antill Burt who was born in 185 in Milton and married Phyllis J. Howe in 1912 at Albury and had no children; Wilfred Sydney Burt who was born in 1886 in Bega and married Constance Futter; and Clive Harcourt Burt who was born in 1886 in Bega and married Barbara K. Blunden in 1916.

8.5.2 Edward Spencer Antill (1859-1913)

Edward Spencer Antill was born on 24 April 1859 in Queanbeyan and died unmarried on 24 March 1913 at St Leonards.

8.5.3 Julia Campbell Antill (1861-1945)

Julia Campbell Antill was born on 25 September 1861 at Picton and married John Weston Perry on 25 May 1898 at Picton. She dies on 26 August 1945 in North Sydney and he died on 13 June 1922 at Liverpool. 8.5.4 ETHEL MARY (MAY) ANTILL (1864-1940)

Ethel Mary Antill was born on 19 February 1864 and married William A. Gardiner in Sydney on 19 February 1886. She died in August 1940 at Petersham. They had four children: John A. Gardiner who was born in 1887 in Dubbo and who married (Clarice) Hero Turton in 1913 in Sydney; Linda M. Gardiner who was born in 1889 in Dubbo and married first (George) len Brown in 1911 in Sydney and, second, Campbell Ryan; Eric A. Gardiner who was born in 1891 in Warren; and Richard Gardiner who was unmarried.

8.5.5 HORACE SUTHERLAND ANTILL (1869-1935)

Horace Sutherland Antill was born on 27 September 1867 at Binalong and married May Adelaide Victoria Hannan [Brook[. He died on 6 January 1935 in North Sydney. They had one child - James Macquarie Antill who was born on 10 June 1912 at Chatswood and married Hilda Dowling Whitty at Woollahra on 17 March 1942.

8.5.6 HARLEY CAMPBELL ANTILL (1869-1934)

Harley Campbell Antill was born on 5 July 1869 in Goulburn and married Ethel May Maunsell in Petersham on 23 March 1898. He died on 3 August 1934. They had four children: Mary Campbell Antill who was born in 1899 in Dubbo and who married Edward Harvey Griffiths on 29 January 1936 in Sydney; Alice Ethel Antill who was born in 1901 in Dubbo and married Maurice Ranald Suttor in 1925 in Gunnedah; Dickinson Harley (Peter) Antill who was born on 4 April 1906 in Dubbo and married Judith B. Spier on 28 June 1932 in Sydney; and Elizabeth Spencer Antill who was born in 1913 in Dubbo and married Edward Vanderbyl Waddy Pockley on 5 June 1937 and had not children.

8.5.7 PHILIP SOMER (JACK) ANTILL (1870-?)

Philip Somer (Jack) Antill was born on 8 December 1870 in Goulburn and married Elsie (Ethel) Pearl Barrett on 29 June 1910 at Bathurst. They had three children: Hazel Mary Antill who was born in 1911 at Paddignton and married Charles Frederick Stephens in 1944 in Nyngan; Philip Campbell Antill who was born on 7 January 1913 in Glebe and married Jean Marjorie Johnstone on 10 August 1940 in GIlandra; and Allan Colden Antill who was born on 14 September 1914 in Nyngan and married Doris I. Johnston in Byron Bay on 25 October 1941.

8.5.8 STANLEY ROSS ANTILL (1872-?)

Stanley Ross Antill was born on 8 August 1872 in Goulburn and married Emily Tronson and had no issue.
