Lunch at Hearth with Miss H. & came home at 2:10. Fred came at 6 & took us to Mid Way Gardens for dinner. Took Miss Henry home & then came back with me. We went on Outer drive xxxxxxxxx Home at 1:45. Warm night. Sunday 9 Hot day. Stayed in room excepting to go to store for something to eat. Big thunderstorm & lightning struck flag pole in playground on Chicago Ave. Monday 10 Got down late. Took Lily Bruemerhof to lunch at Hearth - poor little girl very downcast about war. So exhausted I couldn't sit up or do anything. Rain made it cold.	FL10253706 Saturday, Aug. 8, 1914 Very warm day.
