Monday, Jan. 19, 1914 Got down at 9.30. Wm B.L. made short call Fearsomely busy day making dummy & dictating letters. Mrs Robins & Mr Mullenbach called. Mr Stockwell called. Lunch & dinner at Hearth. Came home sick from overwork. Went to Miss Ewing at 10.

Tuesday 20 so sick I did not get down till 11. Another fearsome day in office till six. Then home & worked till 10 & caught Monor [Monon] for Indianapolis. Wm B.L. called & left me the "Suffragette" & then called up & asked me to Fine Arts Theatre Matinee but I was too busy to go. Lunch & dinner at Hearth.

Wednesday 21 Arrived in Indianapolis. Took taxi & delivered magazines at Miner's Convention hall. To Claypool for breakfast then to Convention all day. Lunch & dinner at Claypool. Sick from nervousness & want of sleep - violent nervous headache

Thursday, Jan. 22, 1914 Breakfast at Claypool then to Convention Lunch with Mrs East & Miss McGrew at Cafeteria. Made my speech after lunch thank God. Went out to dinner with Mrs East. Back to Claypool & slept the sleep of just.

Friday 23 At Convention all day. Rev Schultz took me to dinner at Y.M.C.A. Supper at Cafeteria with Mrs East & then she put me on train a 9.00 p.m.

Saturday 24 Arrived in Chicago at 7.30 & got to office. Wm B. Called & took me to lunch. Moseying around on Calumet strike case till 6.30. Dinner at Hearth with Editha. Home and to bed.

Sunday, Jan. 25, 1914 Stayed in bed till ten. Got up and had a cup of cocoa & worked till one. Went to bed & slept till six. Had another cup of cocoa and worked till 9 - pottered & went to bed.

Monday 26 Busy day in the office. Put a letter on Twentieth Century to D. L. [Demarest Lloyd] demanding explanation of one received from him. Lunch with Ethel at Hearth. Dinner there alone & walked home. Wm B. L. invited party to Tiffin Musicale to hear Helen Ware. Miss O.R. & Miss H. went. Got home very exhausted.

Tuesday 27 Got down at 9.30. Mr Williams called to talk of trade agreements. Lunch with Ethel at Hearth. In afternoon we went to 166 W. Washington to receive Julia Deane. Dinner at Hearth alone & walked home thoroughly exhausted. Worked some however.

Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1914 Busy day pottering and working in the office. Did not do any running around or receive any calls. Received telegram from D.

Thursday 29 Busy day in office. Dinner alone at "Hearth" Walked home exhausted. Went to bed at once.

Friday 30 Wm B. called twice to ask me to opera & bring ticket. Mary Anderson came over. In evening had dinner with Editha at "Ursula" then went to League benefit "Her own money" at the Studebaker. Sat next to Miss Heller.

Saturday, Jan. 31, 1914 Much snow. Got to office at 11. Mrs Robins came in. Lunch down stairs with Miss Henry. Went to opera "Mona Vanna" with Wm B. & then home in the automobile. Back at 7.45 for dinner by Australasian society to Mr & Mrs Griffin. Met Dr Favill on the car.

Sunday Feb. 1 Stayed in bed till 11. then got up & went to office. From there out to Mrs Mahony's to spend day with Mr & Mrs Griffin. Went home with Miss Henry & had supper. Then home & read paper went to bed.

Monday 2 Warm murky day - thawing & raining. Wm B.L. made a call in the morning. Mrs Robins came in during afternoon I pottered & accomplished practically nil. Dinner at ["Hearth" crossed out] "Ursula" alone came home washed head & read book. groundhog couldn't see his shadow. Fred Mason called at office
