Cold day, walked to Fleet Street, Australia Hse etc.
Home at 5.30 and had a rest.
12 Fri
Pottered in office as usual. Mrs D. Brown
sent lovely flowers.
13 Sat
Usual routine. Rested in the afternoon. Wasted
evening. Got a letter from Oscar Asche. Not
game to open it, though I know it contains
the usual "No".
Mems
Grey as ever. Never see the sun. Mrs Hamilton
kind as ever, invited me for the weekend, but I
had to refuse.
