Nice spring day. Went to Australia House for [?].
Left office after 6 p.m. Mr Morton came in
with flowers for Miss H. and me. Chatto &
Windus sent back [N ?] story.

2 Fri
Lovely day. Went to office in morning.
Rested a little. Had lunch in cafe. Rested
a little and walked to Miss Champion
for tea. Walked home and egg tea in room
and to bed.

3 Sat
Nice warm day. Pottered at chores. Went to
office and got Mrs Hughes to pin up my coat.
Met Miss Lawson on way and she accompanied
me to Woolworths and Shearns buying things
for Mrs Ussher. In evening went for blow on
top of bus to Clapham Junction.

Noticed that the plane tree leaves are showing
and the elms in Hyde Park are getting quite
nice.
