Busy in office. Messrs Elgood and Lovelock
called. In evening went out and had dinner
with Miss Peak.
9 Fri
Office routine. Nothing to report.
10 Sat
Cold day. Mrs Martin came in for her husband.
I came home and rested. Was just getting to
bed when Katie came up and said Miss Byles had
come. So I went down and did not get to bed
till 12.
Mems
Tulips dropping in Russell Square. Chestnut
blossom almost gone. Plane trees budding.
Others advanced like a lovely green veil in
the Square.
