November 22nd
Wednesday
Most of the girls in the laundry are
[underlined] working [end underlined] well, but their improvement
in other respects is far from satisfactory. There's
about six of the Romanists, doing all they can
to create a faction & requiring constant
vigilance.

Thursday 23rd
Gentlemens general Com't.
Jane Drew ask readmission. She was permitted to
stay untill [until] the sub com'e meeting on Tuesday next.

Friday 24th
Wrote to ask Dr. A Roberts if he would please
call to see a sick inmate. Eliz'th Lovett" she
has that loathsome complaint.

Saturday 25th
All the rooms have been well scrub'd
although we are so busy with ships washing
most of the inmates, do their work willingly, with
the exeption of about 6 or 8 drones.
Mr. Anderson addressed us from the 40th Psalm
all were quiet, and attentive.

Sabbath 26th
There was no Minister in the Morn'g
Mr. Fletcher gave an address 3 oclk and
Mr. Ayton in the eve'g all except
Eliz'th Lovett were in attendence, (she is
ill) number of inmates 38.
