Tuesday 12th Nov'r
The man wished me to interceed with the Ladies for
his wife to remain in the refuge for some time he said
she had ruined him he called in the evening and was
very thankful to hear they had decided for her to stay
until the general committee met

Wednesday 13th
I took two of the inmates to Mrs Pawseys she said that
the two she got situations for last were behaving very well
no requirements at present but would let us know

Thursday 14th
Waited upon Mrs Keys to try to arrange with her to
pay the bus fare for the washing or otherwise send them
and get part of the inmates outfit at Dawsons Mary Ann
Craig ran away Friday 15th during service
the inmates working cheerfully Mrs Ballard came to
see if she could get a servant I refered [referred] her to the
Ladies

Saturday 16th
Wrote to Lady Young about her work and posted several
other letters

Sunday 17th
The inmates generally well behaved Mr Mills held
Service at 11 o clock Mr Robson at 3 o clock
Mr Thompson at 7 o clock

Monday 18th
Mrs Ballard came and took Mary McGuinness with her as
nurse maid she promised to behave well and seemed pleased
to go to a situation she wept when she left several of the
inmates were very unruly two had to be locked in the cottage

Tuesday 19th
One of the girls asked to be forgiven for her bad behaivour
last night the other very [sup]sullenly[endsup] says I want to go out the inmates
very disobedient tonight
