May 13th. Mr. Harrison the Treasurer called
Mrs. Darne brought her daughter to be
taken into the Refuge, she has been
wandering away from home for months
and was at last taken before the Magistrate
who allowed her Mother to bring her
here instead of sending her to Newcastle
I was out for an hour this afternoon
went to the Infirmary to see Caroline
Macleroy & Martha Buckle.

14th. The town washing has gone home
early, and nicely done this week,
Miss Holland and the Laundress
went out this afternoon. Mrs. Jones
visited.

15th.
Sabbath. Mr. Howitt held morning Service
Mr. Leslie Crawford afternoon Do
I went out to morning Service
Miss Holland went out to afternoon Service
the Laundress has been out
all day.

16th. Mrs. Gregory visited the Inmates
this evening and conducted evening
prayer.

17th. Ladies Sub Committee
Elizabeth Darnes was admitted
The Committee direct me to engage
the man who offers to keep the garden
in order at 5/- per month.
