So longe þat þis holi men : hore wille hadde atte nende.
Þat þet volke of eueriche toun : to cristindom gan wende.
¶Seint austin wende aȝen þo : ⁊ þo he þudir com.
Twelf busschops he made in engelonde : to wardi cristindom.
And þe þritteþe he was him sulf : as ourre louird ȝuf þat cas.
Erchebusschop of douerre : þe verste þat euerre was.
¶Sein austin broȝte cristindom þus : into engelonde.
¶Wel aȝte we is day holde : ȝuf we werre vndirstonde.
His dai is toward þe ende of may : vor þulke day he wende.
Out of þis liue to ihesu crist : þat aftir him þo sende.
¶Þe kinge ailbriȝte deide þo : siþe hundrid ȝerre wel riȝt.
¶And sixtene aftir þat ourre lourid in is modir was aliȝte.
And on ⁊ twena ȝer also : aftir is cristindom
And in þe sixe ⁊ viftiþe ȝerre : of his verste kindom
¶Nou bidde we ȝerne seint. Austin : þat to cristindom ous broȝte.
Þat we to þe ioie come : to wan ourre lourd him boȝte.
