Dear David, I'm sorry I missed you just by a few hours. I asKed Vando to meet your plane but I understand (from Sharon) that you came Thursday instead of Friday. I had an extremely productive trip to Nassau this time - I found a very beautiful song - "Watermelon Spoiling On The Vine." The story of a young and unfilled love afair. Its a gas. Dear Thelma and David, Hi! How are you enjoying the summer? Has it been cold in Maine? The weather has been gorgeous in Elizabeth. Everyone here is fine. My Grandmother is here for a couple of days and Bill, Dee-dee and Robbie and Steffy will be up in a couple of weeks. They will be moving to Staten Island for two years at the beginning of next month. Nothing new or exciting is happening here (thank goodness!) I imagine Darius is having a great time and growing like a weed.

2. Little Stephanie is walking - She began at 7 months. (She's incredible - like her aunt - smile!) David, someone (I should know his name, but I don't) came up to me when I was still at school and said he thought I'd be working with him on F.I.P. I told him all of us in the Art dept. would have imput (like you told us) but that someone else would be coordinating the art- someone good, but I couldn't remember who (later I remembered it was Adrienne that I had in mind, but she won't be doing it after all). Just thought I'd mention t because he was quite anxious to meet with whom ever it will be. I also talked with Bob Moore about the Art Education courses and

3 that should work out just fine. I've been resting and helping Mom around the house, and just enjoying the change from Nash. I'll have to start my woodcuts and preperations for my fall classes next week. Yuck! Have you heard from Earl? Did they stop by on their way back from Canada? They were thinking of stopping by Eliz. on their way back, but I haven't heard from them yet. I writing everyone today, so I'll say adios! for now. Love, Stephanie
