Thu 17 The morning is clear & calm William started to go to
Nashville upon business for Mary ann this morning expected
Wm back tonight
Self My throat is sore but better this morning
Mag Mag went to Town Jack's yesterday & did not git home last
night Jack's little boy is verry sick he seem to be loosing
his eye sight

Stove ) I hid the scraper for the stove in a crack in the North side

Scraper ) of the kitchen a little higher than my head The blacks have
been making me use it to pull out coles & to shove up the fires
it would soon have been gone They are not using it about the
stove but in the fire place where they have been cooking

Meal Our meal has given out there has been foul play We got it
last Saturday it aught to have lasted 11 days only lasted
6 days 2½ bushels.
