My own Beloved Mother

The old Yulaha came in yesterday and gave me your two dear letters and the basket with your generous gifts- Thanks! thanks! You are determined I shall have to spell the word "Thanks"- Every thing in the basket was in [True?] order & as it was too late for for dinner we had the soup today and it was "delightfull" & William is living on the nice [?] the [?sore] is hanging up - Tell dear Mal & Floyd that they gave William a great treat for he is only allowed to eat poultry & game - Oh I wish I could tell you all how much I & we all feel all this kindness you my own precous mother & the rest of you dear ones [ there?] [met?] the rest of us

Thank god my beloved Husband has continued to improve - he takes 3 table spoons full of white mustard seed one before each meal & thinks Dr. L has hit on the very thing to cure him, he is very prudent in every thing - My precious little Tousee too, is slowly mending - Dr. L. says he sees nothing the matter with her now but debility her digestion too is so weak that she can only take such thin food that it is but slow work ganing strength Oh May a Mercifull God restoar them both to health - I thank you for letting me see dear Fathers letter My dear kind Father - but I think [difomelly?] from him - for I have no doubt that both William & Tousee would have been ill - & it was a very providential thing that they were where they have had so skillfull?] & attentive a physician - I look every day for my dear Father and will do all in my power to make him

has taken a violent cold & has an attack of Neuralgia in his head neck & all on side he suffers severely -

I do feel so sorry - Our dear cousin sends you her love and says she was fully determined to write to you today but [Mr Y]'s sickness has prevented he was really quite ill last night but is better today - I pray he may soon be up & about again - Poor [Jaines?] [?] is dead & it was just as his man said - he died down at Tampa Bay - Florida - where he had gone for change of air - I do pity them all deeply - for William [Gourne?] will do all he can to cheat them-

too - [Mal?] has not yet sent him his measure John is now here & sends his love and says he will attend to any thing for you with pleasure- Poor William is not able to do any thing for himself or any one else- & John says he has written three orders about your fruit trees - but can hear nothing of them- I am so sorry your plants are all dead- but you must try them again- for next winter you will have your Green house I sent Solomans your note & will enquire if he sent the seed- & if he did not will get some & send it by dady Peter-
