Status: Needs Review

on what account soever: And shall attend with his
Books at every annual and semi-annual meeting
of the Trustees; at which times he shall report fully
and at large with respect to the funds of the University;
and with respect to the defalcations of all persons
in any wise concerned in managing the monied
affairs of the Institution

And be it also Ordained that the Treasurer
of the Board for the time being shall collect by suit and
otherwise, all monies due the University on Bonds delivered
to him, or on Subscription or other papers: And to
this end he shall have power to employ an Attorney
at Law, which shall be done on the best terms
possible, regard being had to the nature & number
of the Suits he will probably commence in the
course of the Year: - He shall also have power
to appoint an Agent or Agents under him in the
different Districts of the State for the purpose of
collecting Subscription and other monies - and finally
he shall be at liberty to do all such proper things
and to adopt all such proper measures as will
most effectually enable him to perform the
several duties expected & required of him by
the Trustees:

Provided that nothing herein contained
shall be construed to effect or invalidate an Ordinance of
