Clear & very pleasant -- Public Schools picnic from here to Treadways Park, Carson -- 15 cars, including 10 flats left here at 8 AM, took on 1 coach 2 flats at Gold Hill -- Big lot of women & children -- No accident nor trouble -- I as usual -- Bed 3 -- Expected wife up but she didnt come -- was down at depot to meet --
Reno Hot Seymour Pixley Dead

Clear & hot -- took 8 AM train for Reno -- At Carson Seymour Pixley has been found dead lying on the floor of his carpenter shop about 100 yds north of the RR depot & about 9 AM -- I went & took a look at him -- He had not been home to his family since the noon previously, and inquiry and search being made this morning resulted in finding him -- He lay on the floor on his back feet toward &
