near door -- Autopsy resulted in finding he died of [ancurism?] of the heart -- I arrived in Reno on time at 12 N -- Going up street met Andrew Nicholls of Austin, & had pleasant chat -- Found folks all well -- Millie is at Lindsays & has been last three or four weeks, working for $3 per week at housework, Thermometer said 92 deg --

Evening cooler -- Wife & I & children sat on front porch before dark, & had banjo & songs -- Bessie got up little surprise party for us -- Had porch trimmed with a few locust limbs & sprinkled with water -- Then she & Goodie with little paper crowns on their heads, that Bessie had made, represented Maids of Honor to their Majesties the King and the Queen, myself and wife, & Sam & Alf were Pages -- Bessie treated us to a glass of lemonade all round, with a strawberry in each glass -- Very agreeable little family episode, and a genuine surprise to wife & I. About train time 8 PM I went down to the depot -- Met Nicholls and also C W Hinchcliffe there -- They are in as Representatives from Austin to the meetings of Grand chapter [RAN?], and
