SF Minstrels "Statistician"

About 20 of them -- They paraded B & C streets, with brass band this PM -- Evening big house -- $624.50 receipts -- I was there -- A right jolly good minstrel show -- Everybody pleased -- Will play again tomorrow evening at Pipers -- Bed at 3:30 --

Tuesday June 8

The same -- 82 deg in the shad at 2 PM by John Gilly's thermometer -- The brass band of the Minstrels played on C street this PM in front of the 2 newspaper offices -- Joe Marshall delivered me my Statistician for 1886 -- Paid him $2.50 for it as I get it from McCarty at publishers rate, same as last year -- retail regular price, $4 --

The SF Minstrels Centennial 2 cts Tony Fox Killed

Evening I saw the closing portion of the Minstrels at Opera House -- Pretty fair house -- Bed 3 -- The Minstrels appear next at Reno, tonight, and next at Salt Lake --

Wednesday June 9

Same -- Wrote letter to Dr Fred Hiller Sr -- Tony Fox got killed about 10:30 this evening by accidental fall into pit of Big fly wheel at the Combination shaft works of which he was temporarily a night watchman -- Waited & saw his corpse brought
