Same -- evening I wrote a letter, for Tim Dempsey to Thos F Kelly and Mike McDonnell, Vivian De Monto Tent Show Company, Sacramento, Cal, in reply to letters received from them at Placerville a few days ago while they were performing there -- to be a Sacramento next Monday the 21st -- 3 page letter -- Wrote & re-wrote it, etc -- Bed 2 -- John W Mackay Jr, oldest son of John W Mackay, the Bonanza King was killed yesterday near Paris, France -- thrown from horse -- About 25 yrs old -- Father now in San Francisco --
