Same -- Odd jobs -- made two new reportorial notebooks, 70 leaves each to fill my own old covers that Major Dallum gave me nearly 40 yrs ago, when I first started reporting for the Va Daily Union -- that pair of old covers has been my daily pocket companion ever since -- Bed 12 -- My telegram sent to the Tribune Tuesday evening, came back published all right today, in yesterday's paper -- 23 lines leaded double columns -- 46 lines --

Same -- Sent Seattle Times to Sisters Eunice and Lizzie -- Have sprained my left knee on inside or right side somehow, so it has been very lame last 2 days -- could hardly walk today, so stayed at home odd jobbing most of day -- Bed 12 -- Gardnerville Record had my last letter in -- about half of it -- 1/4 column -- Also sent copy of Seattle Times with editorial on my Mint Comstock article to Fred W Clough, Angels' Camp Cal --

Same -- breezy & much cooler -- 70° -- Rose at 6 -- wrote page letter & mailed it to the Gardnerville Record -- Met Geo I Lamy, the editor in the PM on the street -- Got letter from wife with the other $5 inclosed -- My
