The same -- As usual -- Mining day -- Through at 12 -- was up to ball of class of '84 Pretty good crowd & time -- Home and bed at 2 -- Sent wife a gold note of $20 in letter this evening --
Saturday July 25
The same -- a little cooler -- About 85 deg, Telegram from wife says will come up in morning -- PM engaged with County Commisners* meeting -- Evening, got
Through work Early Pioneer meeting Wife & Goodie in Va
through in office at quarter to 11 -- the earliest yet by over an hour, of my present work on the Enterprise -- Was in office reading up and writing & waiting up till past 12 -- Around town awhile -- Bed at 2 --
Sunday July 26
Clear & cooler -- About 84 deg -- Wife & Goodie came on morning train -- caught me abed & having oversleptmyself -- Rested awhile -- Then shaved, & we went to breakfast at Morrill's Gran Central Restaurant -- PM at home -- Dined at 5:30 at Chanmond's French Patisserie -- Evening attended meeting of Pioneers -- regular monthly -- Home at 10 -- Bed --
