Clear & warm but very comfortable -- 86 deg -- PM cloudy, with light shower at 5 -- rose at 9 -- Breakfast at 10 at Chanmond's -- Left them at home after noon & worked in office -- At 4 PM took them to dinner at Chanmond's -- then to the train which leaves at 5:45 PM -- Saw them off -- Evening at 8, attended & reported meeting of citizens at Court house, to arrange for a Grant memorial -- Through in office at 2 -- Bed 3 --

The same -- clear all day -- PM reported assault & battery case of Bonafous and Hardy, before Justice Kehoe -- The jury said Bonafous not guilty -- They went to
