The same -- PM cloudy with one or two light showers of rain, which with the assistance of the street sprinkler made C street rather muddy -- Also a light shower about sunrise -- PM the weather being cloudy the thermometer fell to about 80° Bed at 3 --

Sunday Aug 16

The same -- Overslept myself or would have taken the 7:20 morning train for Reno as yesterday I had telegraphed wife "off by morning train, to meet you once again" -- I literally "got left," Turned over & slept till noon -- PM about

town some -- At 5:25 PM took train for Reno -- Arrived at 8 -- Met wife with Sam & Alf on sidewalk by Post office & went home with them -- All well & happy -- Bed at 11 -- Got another letter from Sam Crescengo, Austin, asking about Stocks --

Monday Aug 17

Clear & hot -- PM cloudy with light shower of rain just before and after dark -- Rose at 6 -- breakfast -- wife & Bessie & the boys went to depot with me -- Through in due time -- Brought from home my "Mary & little lamb" coal oil lamp -- Went to Fredericks after I arrived & got chimneys, fitted to it -- Only 2, unbreakable
