March 27th 1864

My Friend Harry --

Your favor
of the 14th inst. was received two days
ago, consequently I have slept twice
since the familiar writing gladdened
my eyes, -- your commands to the contrary
notwithstanding, As I am under
no obligations to "love honor and obey"
you, I shall make no apologies
for the act of disobedience.

The last picture is not yours
unless you follow the instructions
given in my last. I insist -- nay
command that you either destroy
