Henry A Morton's 23rd Psalm.

Miss Howe is my teacher, I
shall not pass.
She maketh me to sit up all
night and ponder; she leadeth
me into long diagrams.
She keepeth me still, and sayeth
to refrain from whispering
for her nerves' sake
Yea, if I have not my history
or Grammar essay, I am faint
at heart, for she will "crown" me
her voice and her frowns,
thay scare me.

She calleth me down in class
before the whole of the teachers;
She asketh me if I have a
"behind hand"; my knees faileth
me.

Surely Grammar and History
will follow me all the days
of my life and I shall remain
in the Arithmetic class for-
ever.
