him, & in him we found a most
kind friend, he afterwards brought
his wife, the very sight of an
English lady, though seen through
prison bars was a very pleasant
one; to their kindness we were in=
debted for the unspeakable luxury
of clean linen sheets. They also sent
us a chess board — Toboth ofthem
we felt truly grateful, for all their
kindness during our stay in this
part ofthe world _ [[Mr [Mister] M—]] an
English merchant — & [[Dr [Doctor] [Prout?] ]]
[[Count Woronzow]]'s English Physician
also came to the Quarantine, & to all
ofthem we were much indebted
for kindness & hospitality after our
liberation —
