Los Angeles, California.
August 21, 1914.

Governor William Spry,
Salt Lake City, Utah.

Dear Sir,

We the undersigned, respectfully protest against
the execution of JOSEPH HILL.

We feel that this sentence is unjust, the proof
being insufficient, and the prosecution having failed to
show criminal intent on his part.

We believe this man to be devoting his life to
what he construes as the cause of human justice and liberty.
We therefore pray your indulgence in this matter.

Respectfully,
