MIAMI, ARIZONA September 27 1915

Hon. Governor Wm. Spry,
Gov. of Utah.
Salt Lake City, Utah:

Your Excellancy:
We wish to add our plea to the vast
number you must have already received by you requesting
clemency for Joe Hillstrom, who is sentenced to die on Oct.
first. We believe that if you investigate you will find
that his trial was unfair and the conviction was gained
principally through a fear of the I.W.W.

Time has proved that such fear was not based on
reason, but was principally a manifestation of histercia,
We there forewish to protest in the name of justice
against this conviction and again ask you to use the power
vested in you to pardon this man.

Yours Very Truly,
Miami Miners Union #70 W.F. of M.
President.
Mrs. K. Moynahan J. L. Donnelly Secretary.
H. S. McClusky Organizer.
