Nucia, Colo. Sep. 25, 1915

To the Governor of Utah, Salt Lake City. Dear Sir:- We, the undersigned American citizens, believing in the Golden Rule instead of the rule of gold, respectfully urged and demand that Joseph Hillstrom, sentenced to be shot on Oct. 1st, be given a fair and impartial trial before he is executed. If the Great State of Utah must do legal murder let it not be by executing the innocent and helpless.

As we believe it will, If it should shoot Joe Hill.

Denver., Colo. Sept. 28, 1915. To Thr Governor of Utah. Salt Lake City ? Utah. Dear Sir: Dont execute Joseph Hillstrom. Such executions reflect the inhumanity and selfishness of a civilized human race. Truth will prevail. Such injustice will some day re-act on a civilized socity. Execution is not a punishment, it is merely the gratification of revenge. Yours for a square deal and justice to both sides. L.R. Starbuck 3273 Vrain St. J.H. Sandwebs Herbert Cramer G.S. To the Honorable Governor of Utah:

We, the undersigned citizens and residents of Colorado, after investigation, finding that a poor Swede by the name of Joseph Hillstrom has been sentenced to be executed in your state purely on circumstantial evidence, and feeling positive that would not allow a man who might be innocent to be executed, when you could prevent it, herewith ask you to commute his sentence in the name of Justice and humanity.
