Mr. Ralph E. Bristol,
Ogden, Utah

Dear Mr. Bristol:-

Your letter of November 20th, conveying an
expression of your approval of my action in the Hillstrom
case, is deeply appreciated as is also the expression of Mr. Day.

It is gratifying to know that men like you
are so loyally behind the officials who are charged
with the enforcement of the law. In handling this case,
I did only what I regarded as my plain and simple duty
and endeavored to perform it without being influenced
by the thousands of threatening and intimidating letters
which were sent to me.

I have taken the liberty of showing your letter
to the Pardon Board members and they join me in
this expression of thanks. With the compliments of
the season, I am

Cordially yours,

Governor.
