GEORGE O. BRADLEY
HOBART BUILDING
SAN FRANCISCO

November 20, 1915.

Honorable William Spry,
Governor of Utah
Salt Lake City, Utah.

My dear Governor:-

I take this opportunity of expressing to you
my congratulations on the firm stand taken in the support of
law and order by your refusing to further delay the execution
of the convicted murderer, Hillstrom.

The general feeling among those here who are
not fully acquainted with the details of the dastardly crime,
is that your unflinching stand in the support of justice, will
be a source of satisfaction among law-abiding citizens and
supporters of the Constitution.

The firm stand taken by you should also be
a warning to the I. W. W. and their following, that with all
their cowardly threats, justice cannot be defeated, notwithstanding
the respectful influence that had been injected into
the case by our Honorable President. Therefore, my congratulations
to you becomes a double pleasure.

I do not anticipate any violence toward you
or anyone else connected directly or indirectly with the
punishment of the criminal, from those so low and contemptible
as to be guilty of directing letters of threat to you.

Assuring you of my additional esteem and
hearty support in your most righteous action as Governor
of the State of Utah, I am,

Very sincerely yours,

G. O. Bradley
