Dec. 16, 1915.

Mr. Mortimer McMillan,
Eau Claire, Wis.

Dear SIr:

I am in receipt of your communication
of Nov. 23, expressing your approval of my
action on the Hillstrom case. It is a source
of satisfaction to know that in spite of the
campaign of misrepresentation with relation to
this case, there are people outside of Utah
who recognize the obligations of public officials
to enforce the law. Your letter is one
among many received from the decent, self-respecting
people of the United States and I
wish to tank you most sincerely for your courtesy
in expressing your views.

Very truly yours,
Governor.
